Gift Idea: IKEA Soft Toys Give Back | The WiC Project Blog

As I do my holiday shopping this year, I?m keeping an eye out for gifts that can benefit more than just the intended recipient. There are a lot of gift options out there that also contribute back to the community or a cause. IKEA Soft Toys are a great example of just such a gift. Not only are they cuddly cute for the kids, but for every IKEA Soft Toy that is purchased through December 29, 2012, 1 euro (about $1.35) will be donated to the IKEA Soft Toys for Education Campaign.

From floppy-eared bunnies to a weight-lifting tiger to a baking or dessert set, there?s a wide array of Soft Toys and DUKTIG products that any child will love. Prices range from as low as $0.99 up to $19.99 for some of the larger items. We had the opportunity to check out the DUKTIG 18-piece dessert set ? a ?tasty-looking? toy that allows the kids to build their own ice cream cones and cakes with soft, cushy ice cream and cake pieces.

For the junior baker in training, there?s also fun, kid-sized DUKTIG 7-piece baking set which includes a baking sheet, rolling pin, baking dishes, and cookie cutters that will let kids ?bake? some of their favorite dishes. (Or help Mom as she bakes. ;) )

The IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign has donated over $61 million since 2003. If you would like to help the IKEA Soft Toys for Education program to continue supporting important causes like UNICEF and Safe the Children, head to your local IKEA, or visit www.ikea-usa.com and shop for your favorite Soft Toys products. With such affordable prices, you can pick up a few different ones and get some excellent stocking stuffers!
